Our Private Client and Corporate Services team works with our clients and their advisers, providing an efficient, informed and personal service. We provide a fast-paced, rewarding environment and opportunities to work with a variety of global clients across all major asset classes.

Role overview

Embark on a dynamic leadership journey as a key player in our team, overseeing the governance, management, and growth of our private client sector. As the leader of this pivotal role, you will drive alignment with our Group strategy, ensure adherence to legal standards, and spearhead business development initiatives. Job summary:

Lead a private client team, ensuring alignment with Group strategy and legal compliance. Manage budgets, develop client relationships, and identify new business opportunities. Collaborate with the Board to grow the business, while being an engaging people leader and a dynamic trust professional.

 

Job accountabilities:

Client management:

  • Act as an 'A' signatory for PraxisIFM Trust Limited.
  • Oversee complex client relationships, implement changes, and conduct client meetings.
  • Build profitable client relationships and anticipate needs.
  • Collaborate with other Group offices for comprehensive client offerings.

Business development:

  • Define and meet business development targets.
  • Play a key role in developing the private wealth business line.
  • Network with external contacts and raise awareness of our expertise.
  • Stay informed about market changes and potential opportunities.

Financial management:

  • Own the financial results and performance, aligning with KPIs and business strategy.
  • Assist in setting and achieving budgets and ensure prompt collection of debtors.

Corporate governance and risk management:

  • Work within regulatory guidelines and manage complaints and risks.
  • Be a member of in-house committees and adhere to risk management policies.
  • Implement and adhere to standards and policies.

Leadership and communication:

  • Inspire and lead the team, manage recruitment, performance, and development.
    Attend meetings with senior management and contribute to Group projects.
  • Act as an ambassador for the business, championing core values.

Personal development:

  • Stay updated on industry developments and shape own development
  • Systematically plan and prioritise tasks for effective time management.

Skills and knowledge:

  • Comprehensive technical knowledge in private wealth and client relationship management.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks, financial markets, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent time management, critical analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead marketing and business development initiatives.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Ideally educated to degree level with a recognised professional qualification.
  • Extensive senior-level experience in private wealth administration.

Additional information:
This role falls under the JFSC Senior Management Functions Regime with potential personal liability for civil financial penalties. Praxis is an independent group of companies with over 50 years of experience, providing professional services across 15 jurisdictions.

 

Five years’ Jersey residency is required for this role, in adherence with the Control of Housing and Work (Jersey) Law 2012.
