An exciting opportunity to join our growing HR team in Guernsey. The role will involve providing administrative support to the HR department, taking responsibility for key functions including external training, the preparation of induction packs and managing records on the company’s internal records system.

The successful applicant will also assist with preparing payroll, and related Income Tax and Social Security reports, the recruitment process and annual appraisal forms.

A minimum of two year’s relevant HR generalist experience is required, as is holding or be willing to study towards the CIPD Level 3 Certificate in HR Practice. We’re looking for somebody with excellent verbal communication skills together with the ability to compose simple letters and reports, have an understanding of Guernsey employment legislation and have a proactive attitude.

The successful applicant will assist the Trust Operations Manager with the overall management of the department and assist with implementation of change as required. The day to day job will involve the promotion and implementation of new procedures and processes, liaison with other internal departments, assisting with ad hoc projects and providing administrative support to the Operations, Policy and Remediation functions. Other duties will include providing assistance with induction reviews and training, supporting junior staff and other ad hoc administration.

Candidates must be educated to ‘A’ Level standard and either be studying for or have attained a relevant professional qualification. A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience is also required together with excellent communication skills, good letter writing, numeracy and computer skills and a positive ‘can do’ attitude. Previous experience of managing a portfolio of clients is also an advantage.

Main duties will be meeting and greeting clients and visitors, answer and incoming calls and co-ordinate front desk activities. able to meet and greet our clients and visitors in a professional and efficient manner.

Key skills required for this role are communication, both face to face and over the telephone, and positive and ‘can do’ attitude, a professional and engaging personality and good knowledge of Microsoft office.

The Fund Administrator will have responsibility for assisting with the preparation of fund valuations, together with ensuring adherence to compliance and shareholder registration duties.

The general duties include reconciliation of bank accounts, investment positions and forward foreign exchange contracts, the pricing of stocks and assisting with expense payments. The post holder will need to have excellent communication and accuracy skills.

Candidates should be educated to ‘A’ Level standard, or equivalent, and although some knowledge of the finance industry is a preference no previous funds experience is required.

The Compliance Administrator will assist with compliance and risk projects and testing the Group’s systems to ensure compliance with the relevant laws, regulations, the AML/CFT Handbook and other guidance issued by the GFSC.

Two – three years’ relevant work experience in compliance is preferred, however trust and company, pensions or fund administration experience (in particular offshore administration experience) will be viewed favorably. Candidates should also have a compliance qualification at certificate level or an equivalent level qualification in trust, pensions or fund administration.

An understanding of Guernsey’s legal and regulatory framework, including AML and CFT provisions, the ability to take responsibility including prioritising work and meeting deadlines and excellent communication skills and analytical skills are also required.

This two year programme provides an understanding of the diverse operations within a progressive financial services organisation. Structured training, on-the-job experience and one or more secondments to another Group office will give you an insight into working in the finance sector and life-long work skills such as decision making, negotiating and communicating.
